What do you do to keep fit?
I run 5km three times a week along a jogging trail. I also work out with weights to tone my muscles twice a week with my personal trainer.
What is your secret to looking so fabulous?
I try to eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly. I also advocate a good skincare regimen and positive thinking.
Has there ever been a time when you weren't fit and fab?
I have always been an exercise fanatic and my activities revolve around sports like tennis and swimming. Since I engaged a personal trainer four years ago, I have improved my physique and fitness level tremendously.
I saw the results within three months.
What is your diet like?
I try and eat healthily most of the time, with an emphasis on lean protein and lots of greens.
I avoid red meat as the flavours can be a bit overwhelming. I cook twice a week on average so that I can control what goes into my meals, which comprise mainly grilled white meat dishes like fish and poultry accompanied by a green salad.
What are your indulgences?
Red wine, dark chocolate, chocolate pralines, Reese's Peanut Buttercups and Ben & Jerry's Cookies & Cream ice cream. Last but not least,
I have a real weakness for heels. I never leave the house without them.
Do you count your calories?
I don't, but when I have over-indulged, I will exercise more to make up for the excess or eat a lighter meal following my indulgences.
Do you take supplements?
I take lots of supplements for my skin and general well-being. I practise what I preach.
I take the supplements I recommend to my patients, namely tone protection (an antioxidant for healthy skin) which contains high doses of vitamins, pycnogenol and resveratrol. I also take multivitamins, coenzyme Q10, glucosamine and chondroitin for my joints as well as an oral sunblock that prevents photoageing from excessive sun exposure.
What is your sleep routine like?
I am a night owl. I sleep about six hours a night. I feel rested with that. Besides, I have two cats, Karma and Missy, who wake me up most mornings. I do enjoy my Sunday lie-ins as I don't have to get up and go to work that day.
How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance?
I am passionate about my work. It deals with aesthetic medicine and revolves around anti-ageing and rejuvenation. With improved education, nutrition and cutting-edge science, people are savvier and living a lot longer.
What do you do to relax?
Running helps me unwind and relax and I have a wide circle of friends with whom I socialise regularly. Mini weekend breaks around the region help me recharge too. My favourite destinations are Koh Samui, Langkawi and Bangkok.
What are the three most important things in your life?
Family, my cats and love. These things enrich and complete me.
Would you go for plastic surgery?
Never say never. Looking absolutely fabulous is important to my identity, lifestyle and profession.
Do you think you're sexy?
Oh yes, I think I am sexy. Sexy encompasses elegance, poise, attitude, good looks and a certain je ne sais quoi (a French term meaning something indescribable). Enough of the fake modesty; I have worked very hard to look like this.
