Is there any benefits/harm when a person exercise as follows:- Briskwalk 2km, then jog 1km, then briskwalk 2km and finally jog last km ?

Tak kesah, unless if your knee joints hurt.
If so, just maju with the brisk walking and keep the hati pumping :*:

If you want to do interval training, sprint instead of jog.

Sprint 400m, slow jog 2-3 mins, sprint again, slow jog again.

I've seen people 'jogging' while playing with their smartphones. At such a slow pace, the heart rate won't be raised, and you're just wasting your time.

Try frog leaping with your hands behind you up Westin Stamford. Do that everyday for 3 years. Bet your legs will be more powerful than a cougar!

Suggest doing a 5km fLat of brisk waLking wouLd be better for cardio workout..

at your age, take care of your knees. brisk walk will do. if your knees are fine and need to jog to chase skirts, buy a pair of good shoes.

Exercise causes no harm whatsoever unless you already have a pre existing condition which could be exacerbated.

What is the purpose of your exercise regime? The answer determines what sort of exercise would suit you best.

Agree.

Purpose is to maintain general health and strengthen cardio so as to continue the in-out sexual routine. Age : 69 with general liking of alcohol especially heineken atau chivas.

Is the exercise sufficient ?

Get your heart checked out to make sure there are no blocked arteries. Once you're given the all clear, you can pretty much go as hard as you want. Interval training is one of the best ways to get really fit so run at 90% of your max heart rate for 3 minutes, then back to tempo pace (60%) effort for 10 minutes.. then back to 90% effort. Repeat as many times as you can manage.

Finish off with a 30 second all out effort and then cool down at walking pace for 5 minutes and you're done.

You only need to this interval training twice a week max. Devote the other 3 days to just jogging at a comfortable pace for 30 to 45 minutes. Take 2 days off for recovery.

You'll be amazed at the health benefits. Blood pressure will drop and so will LDL levels. Testosterone levels will rise which is always a good thing when it comes to sexual performance.

If you're knees are giving problems, do the same routine but on a bicycle instead. If you don't want to risk riding in traffic, you can go off road on a mountain bike if you have the bike handling skills. If you don't, then a wind trainer will do the job beautifully.

I use one of these and it gives me all the measurements I need to monitor power output and track progress.
