Actress among trio held over callgirl racket

MAKKAL Osai reported that police in Bangalore, South India reported that three people, including an actress, were arrested for alleged involvement in a prostitution racket.
Jamuna, who has acted in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil films, software engineer Venugopal and his friend Surakash, who was allegedly the pimp, were arrested during a raid on a five-star hotel on Friday night.
Jamuna is known for her roles in films like Mouna Poratam, Mama Garu and Puttinti Pattucheera.
Police said that Jamuna, Venugopal and Surakash had been remanded.
