MARYSVILLE, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio National Guardsman on trial for sexually abusing his adopted daughters and a stepdaughter has vigorously denied the accusations.
The 20-year military veteran used words like "negative" and "absolutely not" when denying the allegations under questioning by defense attorney George Leach.
He also denied abruptly sending a girl who was living in his house back to her adoptive parents in Idaho to keep her from talking about what she knew.
The 42-year-old guardsman has pleaded not guilty to accusations of abusing girls who were under 13.
Earlier Wednesday his wife testified she never saw evidence of such abuse in the home.
The Associated Press isn't naming the couple to protect the children's identities.
