Some of these bastards are pretty hung up on social status. I used to have a friend who was an ex primary school teacher. Great chap. Later he became an insurance agent and was promoted to manager. Became snobbish and condescending after that as he felt that he had some measure of success, even though he was just a half fucked financial adviser. There was once instigated some of my friends to insult me. We drifted apart after that incident.

There was once I offered him an investment proposition. I thought he was seriously considering, but turns out he was just playing along so that he could jibe and be sacarstic to me at the crucial moment. I was shocked by his behaviour. I thought then he still regarded me as a friend.

Later I found out he lent money to a friends of mine in need who had just lost his job. He charged that poor fellow a 200% per annum interest rate on the loan, and dare to claim he was not a loan shark.

Mind you, this was not a loan to some acquaintance, but a very, very long time friend of ours who had just been retrenched. My jobless friend and I were totally disgusted by him after that.

Some people in life, think they have some measure of success, become total bastards to all those who stood by him in difficult times in the past. Fucked up pieces of shit.

The pain I am going thru is emotional. Their beastly doings have affected me in many ways. For instance,I was once a sociable person,nowadays,i tend to be wary of pple i meet. There are still many many bastard things they did but I can't write them as there is no witness or evidence. This is a costly lesson just because I decided not to side with PAP.

Some i knew since pre-primary,also behave like that. Maybe i feel this way cos' a lot of things are just not going my way. Tend to be sensitive the right word. I helped my this good friend when he lost over 100K in shares by buying 10k worth of financial product,now he switched line into sales and doing very well.
If I have money then, i will surely lend him and yet he has the audacity to snob at me.

No offense but you really need to pick your friends more carefully. All the same dump this lot, forget about them. Look to the future and not harp upon the past. You cannot do anything about the past but you can do something about the future.

Nobody likes to be reminded about the time they were down and out and it is an especially sore point with people who do not know how to handle success. Many will try to gloss it over and claim they came out of it on their own.

You fell so what? Point is to get back on your feet again. Better that you know what kind of people they are now and make a clean break. I think you will be so much better off.
