印度一名86歲知名女作家兼教授麗塔（Rita Jitendra），日前上當地一個直播節目，沒想到訪問到一半，她突然在鏡頭前斷氣，工作人員原以為她在開玩笑，後來才驚覺事情不對勁，立刻切換畫面，並將麗塔送醫急救，遺憾的是，最後仍沒有救回來，消息傳出震驚外界。

根據英國《太陽報》報導，麗塔接受晨間節目主持人札希德（Zahid Muktar）訪問，對談相當順利，看起來沒什麼異狀，她有說有笑，分享人生的有趣經歷，可過沒多久，麗塔停止說話並不斷打嗝，還呼吸急促，接著仰頭不醒人事。

現場工作人員原本以為她在演戲，後來才意識到情況不對，察覺麗塔已經沒有呼吸，立刻將節目畫面切換播放麗塔的紀錄片，他們認為麗塔可能年事已高、身體不適，立刻將她送醫急救，但最後仍宣告不治，札希德表示，「我們試圖救活她，但她都沒有回應，被送往醫院後就被宣布死亡」。

麗塔的好友兼屋主哈莉茷（Hazifa Muzaffar）透露，莉塔曾表示最希望的死去是在工作中離世，就像印度第11任總統卡蘭（A.P.J. Abdul Kalam）一樣，2015年7月演講時突然心臟病發，沒想到一語成讖，麗塔真的在工作中離開人世。哈莉茷坦言莉塔就像她的母親，總是充滿幽默感，兩人有過愉快的時光。
節目製作人天比爾（Tanveer Mir）表示，「對我們來說是震驚的，這是當地第一次傳出有人在直播期間死亡的消息，作為專業製作人，事發當時盡量控制節目場面」，但對於麗塔的離世，他也感到相當難過與遺憾，「願死者安息」。

According to the British "Sun" report, Rita was interviewed by morning show host Zahid Muktar. The conversation was quite smooth and it looked no strange. She talked and laughed and shared interesting experiences in life. Not long after, Rita stopped talking and kept snoring, and she was short of breath, and then she looked up.

The on-site staff originally thought that she was acting, and later realized that the situation was wrong. She noticed that Rita had not breathed. She immediately switched the program screen to Rita’s documentary. They thought that Rita might be old and unwell, and immediately took her. He was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment, but he was still declared dead. Zahid said, "We tried to save her, but she did not respond. She was declared dead after being taken to the hospital."

Rita's friend and homeowner Hazifa Muzaffar revealed that Rita had said that the most hopeful death was to die at work, just like India's 11th President APJ Abdul Kalam, July 2015 Suddenly a heart attack occurred during the speech, I did not expect to be a word, Rita really died in the work.
