Abalone broth recalled
Goh Joo Hin Pte Ltd, has received feedback that the 400 grams can of New Moon's premium abalone broth from Thailand with the expiry date of Oct 9, 2011 has a bad smell when opened.
THE Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) issued a recall of New Moon's premium abalone broth on Friday.
According to a statement released, the importer of the product, Goh Joo Hin Pte Ltd, has received feedback that the 400 grams can of concentrated abalone broth from Thailand with the expiry date of Oct 9, 2011 has a bad smell when opened.
AVA is investigating the cause of the problem and as a precautionary measure, has advised consumers who have bought the implicated product not to consume it.
