In spite of the heavy downpour, more than a thousand families, friends and members of the public braved the rains to attend Hoei Yen’s funeral service at St Theresa Church.
Michael, her husband, spoke lovingly of her as his “princess and angel” and she is “everything he needs”.
In a moving eulogy in which he broke down sobbing a few times, Michael described Hoei Yen as a caring and loving wife, a fun person to be with and a workaholic who even brought her laptop along to check her emails during their honeymoon.
Hoei Yen was described by friends as a loyal friend who will stick with them through thick and thin even when she is going through a bad patch herself.
