Singapore Foreign ministry said that the man who swam into Suu Kyi's house was of unsound mind and therefore she had not breached any term and condition imposed on her by the military junta.
However Singapore is happy the Myanmar government has exercised its sovereign prerogative to half Suu Kyi sentence to 18 months and she will be given house arrest instead of imprisonment.
Singapore also said that it hopes that Myanmar government will improve its political process.
