醫學會副會長林哲玄說，一般而言，醫委會在紀律聆訊中會考慮涉事醫生所犯罪行會否影響其臨床判斷，或是否涉及嚴重誠信問題，如果在當值期間犯案，情況更嚴重，有機會將其無限期釘牌。屯門醫院去年亦爆出男顧問醫生涉嫌摸胸非禮女實習醫生醜聞，涉案男醫生事後被控一項非禮罪，他否認控罪，案件昨在屯門法院作審前覆核，控辯雙方均表示會傳召專家證人作供，預計審訊需時兩天。裁判官將案定於今月尾開審，期間被告續准保釋。

【星島日報報道】（星島日報報道）屯門醫院急症科姓甄副顧問醫生，早前在當值期間「失蹤」，返回工作間後情緒有異，經測試後發現尿液疑含有大麻，懷疑在當值期間曾吸食大麻。據了解，甄早於前年與妻子出現感情問題，亦經常表示工作壓力大。醫院已即時暫停有關醫生的臨牀職務，並檢視該醫生當值期間的診症記錄，及過去三個月處理過的個案。院方昨日報警，該醫生被警方拘捕，正被扣留調查，由屯門警區重案組跟進。
警方表示，昨日下午接獲報案，指院方一名男醫護人員懷疑早前曾吸食毒品。警方經初步調查後，今日在田心區拘捕該名四十八歲姓甄男子，涉嫌「吸食毒品」。
屯門醫院表示對事件非常重視，有關醫生隸屬屯門醫院急症科，於本月五日晚上十一時許當值期間一度離開工作崗位，同事透過廣播及手提電話尋找不果。該名醫生於午夜時分返回工作間，同事發現其精神及情緒有異樣。
據悉，該名醫生承認曾經吸食大麻，院方為他進行驗尿後，結果呈陽性反應。

據了解，被捕醫生一九九五年在中大醫學院畢業，○四年考獲香港醫學專科學院院士（急症科）資格，育有兩名兒子，二○一七年與妻子出現感情問題，妻兒已搬離住所，他亦曾在互聯網寫道：「人到中年，腰背痛，工作失意，老婆離婚，朋友離棄。」該醫生亦曾透露在公立醫院工作壓力大，稱「為了幫助病患，前線的總要賠上自己及家人的幸福。」消息指，該名醫生平日在家中露台有栽種植物的習慣，但警方未有在其住所或醫院儲物櫃發現大麻或大麻工具，正繼續追查大麻來源，而被捕醫生沒有相關案底。
本身是醫生的立法會議員郭家麒指，若醫生干犯刑事罪行，事件必須上報醫委會，並審核醫生是否有操守及失德等問題，最嚴重可終身停牌。
執業大律師陸偉雄亦指，根據《危險藥物條例》，大麻屬被規管的危險藥物，任何人士管有、吸食、販運或種植大麻，均屬違法，最高可被判罰款一百萬元及監禁七年；若吸食大麻後影響醫生診斷，令病人健康受損，法庭更會加重刑罰。
