to my fellow younger Singaporeans,

when i was your age, in my early twenties, i was also occupied with any more interesting affairs surrounding fun and laughter.

now that i have more than doubled that age, i realized i was simply too irresponsible when it came to deciding who my government should be. consequently, i only voted once, when i was 21 years old. and for the next almost 3 decades, i was not able to vote my choice of parliamentary representative.

this was the result of my naivety and foolishness of my youth. if only my peers and i had been more resolved, some 3 decades ago, in ensuring that pap does not control parliament, today, you and all Singaporeans would not have been held hostage by a pap controlled government.

your parents and uncles/aunties, would not have had to struggle to make ends meet. everyone of us, would not have to feel like we are 2nd class citizens in our own homeland.

how you vote in this election, will have far reaching national impacts, not just for your future, but your younger siblings and those of your children.

don't make the same mistake i made years ago.

believe me when i tell you, as your fellow Singaporean and a more experienced one, that we had given pap more than fair chance to prove that they are a people's servant. very sadly, time and time, they have all but proven that they are far more self-serving.

i appeal to you to not vote for pap, by simply asking you to consider the tremendous danger pap can pose to Singapore's future development and all Singaporeans, should they continue to usurp control of parliament.

you are bright and imaginative. just imagine, what can pap not do with all these powers unchecked.

have they not already shown how they've allowed HDB flat prices to be beyond reach of many of you? in a short few years, many of you will be getting married and start a family and have children of your own. you will need at least a roof over your heads. are you prepared for a pap ruled government, who will undoubtedly laden you with a enormous housing mortgage loan that you will need your entire life to pay off?

are you prepared to be unemployed because that ideal job went to one of the 2-3million foreigners welcomed into Singapore by pap's loose immigration policy?

are you prepared to be called daft, branded as quitters, and be consistently treated as an unthinking person, by pap. just read how mah bow tan tried to excuse himself for not being responsible for stratospheric HDB prices or how lee hsien loong justified why each minister should to be paid millions to perform a public service.

my young fellow Singaporeans, you are our country's precious resource. you are our future. how Singapore will develop from hereon, rests largely upon your shoulders.

i trust that you will understand the importance of removing pap from controlling parliament.

i know, you will make the right decision to vote for opposition candidates, to secure a democratic and accountable Singapore government.

i believe you will prevent absolute power in pap from corrupting absolutely !!
