96 nabbed in five-day islandwide drug bust

A Five-day islandwide operation that ended today netted 96 suspected drug offenders.

Central Narcotics Bureau officers also seized drugs worth more than $25,900 in all, including heroin, Ice, Erimin-5, Ecstasy and cannabis.

The wide-ranging operation spanned much of Singapore, including Ang Mo Kio, Clementi, Commonwealth, Dover, Geylang, Jurong, Lengkok Bahru, Outram, Tanglin Halt, Woodlands and Yishun.

On Monday around noon, officers arrested a 45-year-old man around Outram MRT station, then picked up his supplier, a 32-year-old man, at a Jurong East void deck.
