SINGAPORE: The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) launched two major operations earlier this month to intensify its enforcement action against illicit drug activities in Singapore.

A total of 92 suspected drug offenders were arrested, 11 for suspected drug trafficking and 81 for suspected drug consumption.

2kg of cannabis and an assortment of other drugs worth a total estimated street value of S$84,160 were also seized during the operations.

One of those arrested, a 24-year-old suspected drug trafficker, is believed to have supplied drugs to Selvam V Katorain, the 37-year-old who has been charged with selling drugs to several students from international schools.

CNB officers also arrested a 22-year-old Singaporean, believed to be his girlfriend, during a follow-up search of his apartment.
