SINGAPORE - Customers rushed to make payment for their purchases at Robinsons on Saturday (Jan 9) afternoon, when the iconic retailer announced in-store that the Raffles City outlet, its last, would close by 3pm.

Now let's see which business will occupy that vacant space.

Ikea is taking over Robinson's vacant space in JEM, maybe they will do the same in Raffles City.

Perhaps Sogo should consider making a comeback but should sub-let out spaces within the store to independent franchises like in HK.

wont miss it, selling exp craps mostly for tourists anyway, can buy the same stuffs at a fraction online

Mega Food Court by NTUC.

Is it true? You can always trust PAP-linked businesses to swoop in. Refer to Giant and Daiso at Vivocity, replaced by NTUC Fairprice and a NLB library respectively. Although Daiso opened another outlet on a lower floor, but that shop space is much smaller.

sogo, seiyu, parco, daimaru, kmart, carrefour, hao mart, emporium, yaohan

Someone should be enterprising enough to bring in Selfridges or Harvey Nichols to fill the space left behind by Robinsons.
