8 men arrested for gambling in hawker centre

Eight suspects were arrested in the wee hours on Wednesday for gambling at a hawker centre.
The eight, all men aged between 35 and 58, were nabbed at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 along with gaming paraphernalia such as dices, gaming chips, a saucer and a cup.
Police also seized more than $1,600 in cash.
If found guilty of public gaming, the men can be fined up to $5,000, or jailed up to 6 months, or both.
