【on.cc東網專訊】長沙灣天主教墳場發生刑毀事件。今午（2日）12時許，一名姓馮(62歲)男保安員在墳場巡邏時，赫見有85個龕位墓碑損毀，隨即報警求助。警方接報到場，發現墓碑疑遭人用硬物擊毀，多個龕位的先人遺照位置出現一個大窿。
警方初步調查後，案件列作刑事毀壞，交由深水埗警區刑事調查隊跟進。現場所見，損毀的龕位墓碑，分布在第47至52段，大部份為合葬龕位，附近無街燈或「天眼」，警方正追查歹徒犯案動機，不排除有人欲盜取龕位內陪葬品或財物，暫時未知是否有財物損失。
市民吳先生從新聞中得悉事件後，因有親友安葬在此，遂立即趕來了解，幸好先人龕位墓碑未受破壞。他批評歹徒缺德，「連死人嘅嘢都唔放過！」又認為墳場應加強保安，例如加裝閉路電視，防止同類事件再次發生。
長沙灣天主教墳場由天主教教區墳場委員會管理，根據天主教墳場規則，天主教教友及已接受天主教收錄禮之慕道者逝世後，均可埋葬或安置在天主教墳場內。過去有不少名人安葬在長沙灣天主教墳場，當中包括資深體育新聞主播伍晃榮、信興集團創辦人蒙民偉、影星李小龍父親李海泉等。
過往本港曾出現「盜墓賊」。2016年3月，有米埔村民到石湖圍山邊拜祭先人時，赫見先人墓穴被人挖出一個大洞，墓室凌亂不堪，警方到場調查，發現另有3個山墳被掘開，更有棺木被打開，不排除匪徒破壞山墳目的是企圖偷取陪葬品。2013年1月，天主教聖十字架墳場，有2個骨灰龕位的覆蓋碑石被扑毀，露出在內擺放的大堆白骨。2012年12月，柴灣歌連臣角火葬場靈灰安置所，有保安員巡邏時發現一名30餘歲可疑男子，用鐵鑿圖破壞骨灰龕，疑欲打劫「陰司路」，厲聲喝止，對方隨即拔足逃去，保安事後察看，發現另有2個龕位亦被破壞。
