</TD><TD class=row1 height=28 vAlign=top width="100%"><TABLE border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%"><TBODY><TR><TD width="100%"> Posted: Wed Oct 07, 2009 10:01 pm Post subject: 75 year old lady selling tissue cries in pain ...</TD><TD vAlign=top noWrap> </TD></TR><TR><TD colSpan=2><HR></TD></TR><TR><TD colSpan=2>I was in chinatown, I walk by an old tissue seller, paid her $1 for three packs of tissues, and as I sat down to eat my lunch, i notice that she was pressing on her lower back with her right palm, she look to be in pain, the china drink helper ask her, "aunty yao chi kan Yi Shen"(see doctor). she wave no. but her expression continue to show pains, one ah beng say "ka kin kio Ang chap De chia" (call ambulance). she again cries out "ai ya, mia la mia la, bo liu la bo liu la" (dun need la no money). She stood up and walks away in pain, as the whole coffeeshop pity her in sadness, one student offered to hold her.
I felt very sad, heard from the helpers that she is a widow with no children, she use to work as "Hong Tou Chin" samsui woman in the 1950, shaping the singapore of today.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
