Singapore is 60,000 babies short for population to replaced itself naturally,,,,

This type of report and requirements are old and obsolete... Now people are healthier and live longer and able to work longer (see the changes in CPF), why the govt still thinks that woman needs 2.1 babies... ridiculous,,,,

Did the govt publish this so it is able to import more immigrants to sustain their politicial power by granting new citizenships, because the new guys are likely to vote for them, join their grassroots and forever in their debts? looks like a more probable ploy,,,,,

Also Pinkies incentive of $700mil failed to boost any improvement in that field, and it is so typical of Pinkies and their gang to assume how Singaporeans think. How many policies they implement are just wasting time and money and benefiting to FTs.......

Also the govt has always think that SIngapore optimal population is 6 million (dunno which iditot comes ouot with this figure and when this idea was implanted in the Old Fart's brain). Time change and the govt should take a step back and review all the assumptions made decades ago,,,,,
