6 men nabbed over "rioting"

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested six men, aged between 19 and 23 years old, for alleged rioting at Raffles Boulevard.
Police said a 25-year-old male had reported he was assaulted on Thursday morning by a group of men.
The injured victim was subsequently sent by ambulance to the Singapore General Hospital.
Officers from Central Police Division mounted an operation and arrested all six suspects at Yishun, Jalan Tenteram, Whampoa Drive and Loyang Rise.
Preliminary investigation revealed the suspects had assaulted the victim after a staring incident in a night club.
The six suspects will be charged on Saturday with the offence of rioting.
If found guilty, the suspects can be jailed for a maximum of seven years and shall also be liable to caning.
