52-year-old man arrested for cash card thefts from vehicles

Police have arrested a 52-year-old who is believed to be involved in a spate of cash card thefts from vehicles.
Following a police report filed by a man who had had his cash card removed from the In-vehicle Unit (IU) of his unlocked lorry which had been left unattended, officers conducted an operation on Monday and arrested the suspect at Jalan Bukit Merah .
Preliminary investigations revealed the suspect is believed to be involved in at least four other similar thefts committed in the vicinity of North Bridge Road, Bras Basah Road and Bain Street.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Tan Hung Hooi would like to remind the public not to leave their cash cards unattended in the IUs of their vehicles.
