a malaysian friend of mine got laid off recently.

to console him, his dad said SGP is worse off than malaysia, that there are 500K jobless in Singapore?

wah that's a huge figure, i wonder where did the malaysian press get the figures from?

how come we don't see this in our 144th?

if this is true, hell PAP is going to lose in this coming election.

and why are malaysians happy that SGP is screwed?

Actually the 500K figure is correct that included FT,PR and citizen headcount 300K and another 200K unpaid/force to take leave. Some have shorter working day eg. 5 days/week to 4 days/week with one day unpaid leave.
