A Chinese man who searched other passengers' bags and stole credit cards and dollars on a flight from Hong Kong to Incheon International Airport was caught and put on trial.
The Incheon District Prosecutors' Office's International Criminal Investigation Department (Chief Prosecutor Jeong Yoo-sun) announced on the 27th that it has arrested and charged a 51-year-old Chinese man A with theft and fraud.

After arriving at Incheon International Airport, A met with two Chinese accomplices in the country and went around a gold and silver shop in Jongno-gu, Seoul, to buy 100 million won worth of precious metal with stolen credit cards.
He fled to China with his accomplices after purchasing precious metals, and was arrested by police late last month while trying to enter the country after stealing $540 (700,000 won) from a flight from Hong Kong to Incheon in the same way.
A prosecution official said, "A committed the crime by taking advantage of the fact that it is difficult for victims to know immediately even if goods are stolen on board," adding, "passengers should be careful when using the plane."
