Fire at Geylang Internet cafe

AN INTERNET cafe at Geylang Road was gutted by a fire which broke out on Tuesday afternoon. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted shortly after 1.30pm. Using two water jets, its officers put out the blaze within eight minutes. One unemployed 50 year old man staying at Blk 171 Stirling Road was injured. It is not known how the fire started, and the SCDF is investigating the cause.
