A man threw himself to his death after arguing with his girlfriend who wanted to visit a shoe shop at the end of a long shopping trip.
Eyewitnesses claim Tao Hsiao, 38, told his girlfriend he wanted to go home after accompanying her on the five-hour trip.
They claim the pair started a heated argument before the man threw down his bags and threw himself over a balcony on the seventh floor of the shopping centre in Xuzhou, east China.
He then smashed into the ground floor in front of horrified shoppers.

"She started shouting at him accusing him of being a skinflint and of spoiling Christmas, it was a really heated argument."
After falling to the ground, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man jumped to his death in a shopping mall in Jiangsu province in China after a furious row with his girlfriend who insisted on prolonging a five-hour-long shopping trip, the Daily Mail reported.

According to the report, CCTV footage showed the couple wandering around various shops in the mall until the 38-year-old victim, Tao Hsiao -- who was carrying the bags for his gal pal -- demanded to go home.

Eye-witnesses heard them argue about where to go next -- the man wanted to leave, but his girlfriend wanted to check out a sale on shoes.
A witness was quoted as saying the man told the girlfriend she already “had enough shoes, more shoes that she could wear in a lifetime and it was pointless buying any more”.

The girlfriend then accused him of spoiling Christmas.

The fight came to an abrupt end when the man was seen throwing his shopping bags on the floor, jumping over the railings, before landing seven stories below.

Reports say he was killed immediately from the impact of the fall.

I would not jump over a railing for that...Centrepoint is very quiet this festive Season ( December 2013) even the outside decoration look very sad, used to have award winning one, year after year. The shopping csntre had lost its shine, Robinson's no longer attracts the crowds & the others in there..

Used to shop there regular, for Robinson, M&S, Cold Storage, Times Book store & browse the camera shops selling Nikon, & pop in The Attic ( if you know what he sells)...Amercaya Shoes...the silk store, the DIY store...
