SINGAPORE - A 47-year-old Singaporean man was arrested on Tuesday (June 23) after he allegedly drove past Tuas Checkpoint when he was told to stop for checks.
The Straits Times understands that the man was returning to Singapore from Malaysia on Tuesday around 12pm. He had already cleared immigration, but officers directed him for further customs checks as they found food products in his car that may not have been declared.
The man, however, apparently misunderstood instructions from the officers and drove off.
He was later arrested at Pioneer Road North, near Nanyang Technological University.
