41yo M’sian Father Rapes 15yo Daughter, Results In Her Being 7 Months Pregnant​

The victim was subjected to rape since 2020.

Fathers are often seen as the head of the home and de facto head of the home, but there are those who are predators and instead prey and abuse the ones they’re supposed to protect.​

A 41-year-old man was recently accused of raping and having sexual relations with his 15-year-old daughter, a crime which he admitted to in court today.

Pleaded guilty to raping daughter​

Harian Metro reported that the accused, who was unnamed, was slapped with eight charges at the Sessions Court, including one count of physical sexual abuse against his daughter since 2020.

He pleaded guilty to all charges when it was read out to him by an interpreter before Judge Abu Bakar Manat.
For the first charge, the accused was charged under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which was read together with Section 16 of the same act for committing physical sexual abuse against his daughter at a house in Semerah, Johor in 2020.

Under these Sections, he faces imprisonment of up to five years and caning.

For the second to eighth charges, he was accused of raping his daughter from October 2020 until June 5 of this year at the same location.
He was charged under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum penalty of 30 years’ imprisonment and 10 cane strokes.

Victim was unaware of pregnancy​

According to the facts of the case, the accused allegedly raped his daughter when they were the only ones left in the house.

The victim, who is now seven months pregnant, did not know that she had her father’s child until a health examination session was conducted at her school, where it revealed physical changes in her body.

Upon realising that she was indeed pregnant, the victim subsequently lodged a police report against her father.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Nur Sulehan Abd Rahman requested the court to set a date to permit them in retrieving the DNA report, medical report, and the accused’s past criminal records.

Bail was not offered to the accused and the court set July 16 for case re-mention.
