Four Chinese have been arrested in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province for smashing Japanese-made police cars to protest Japan's seizing of the Diaoyu Islands.
Shenzhen police said the four suspects destroy the properties of other people in the name of patriotism and their behavior could not be tolerated and pardoned.
The four men incited a crowd to smash three Japanese-made police cars on August 19 as the territorial dispute between China and Japan escalated, Yangcheng Evening News reported today.
Similar incidents were also reported in at least ten other Chinese cities, the paper added.
