Since our publication of an article on the “DOG” food which YOG “volunteers are being fed with in contrast to the buffet spread the YOG athletes and officials are enjoying, a massive outcry has erupted in cyberspace forcing the caterer for YOG Singapore Food Industries (*SFI) to improve the food for the volunteers.
Replying to media enquiries, a spokesperson for the YOG committee said: “We are aware of the feedback (on the meal) and have taken immediate action. We will work with the caterers to continually improve the meal standards,”.
Accordingly, volunteers for the YOG can expect a reasonable improvement in the quantity and quality of food served to them as promised by the YOG committee but that was not to be.
One of our readers who is a volunteer at ECP for YOG emailed this photo to us (which was taken yesterday) of the ‘improved’ food.
He has this to say about the ‘improved’ food:

Imagine after working one whole tiring morning and you just need a simple, tasty meal to perk you up. And we get this crap? It did not taste good to start with.
HOWEVER, THE MOST LAUGHABLE PART WAS WHEN I ASKED FOR A LARGER PORTION OF THE CHICKEN AT THE COUNTER.
Guess what they told me “Sorry… this is standard sized”

Apparently from the photo, the quantity of food have improved with the addition of 3 small pieces of what looked like ‘fish cakes’ or ‘toufu’ but the quality of the food leaves little to be desired.

YOG volunteers complain about being served “dog food”

Due to lack of public support for the Youth Olympic Games (YOG), the PAP regime has resorted to forcing Singapore students to “volunteer” for the event to generate fake grassroots support to save its own “face.”
According to netizens, students from schools in Ang Mo Kio were “asked” to line the streets last Saturday to “welcome” the YOG torch before it arrived at Nanyang Polytechnic.
One irate teacher, who wished to remain anonymous, wrote:
“My school students are going to be made to stand around, under the 3pm-hot sun, to pretend that we support YOG. How is that fair? It is like as if we are a communist state – forcing the children to do something that is not only agaisnt their will, but it is also something that would not affect our lives greatly. If the students want to watch and support the YOG torch, they can watch it on their own! Why force the other students to fake support under the sun? 90% of the students in Singapore don’t even care about the YOG, and yet we are forced to pretend that we do.”
Another student complained:
“I am from Temasek Poly and I am forced to take part in YOG. It is made so compulsory that in the event that i do not take part, I will not get a testimony at the end of my graduation. That is the most irritating thing right now.”
Not only are the YOG “volunteers” required to spend long hours doing “sai kang” (hokkien for shit work), they are also served “dog food”.
One obviously peeved YOG “volunteer” sent us a photo of the food the volunteers were given:

“This is what I am eating everyday. Even my dog is fed better food!” she wrote.
In the meantime, public anger over the YOG continues to boil over with nearly a thousand Singaporeans joining the “I hate YOG” Facebook to express their disgust and disdain for the PAP’s “vanity fair”.

SFI has since confirmed to the Straits Times today that the food in the above picture “was part of a meal provided to the YOG workforce.”
Singapore Food Industries (SFI), a subsidiary of the Singapore Airport Terminal Services (Sats) had been awarded a $5.5 million catering services contract by the YOG organising committee. Its contract covers meals for up to 7,000 athletes, officials and volunteers at the Youth Olympic Village.
While “DOG” food is being served to Singapore volunteers, foreign athletes and officials were given three daily buffet meals befitting of a king by SFI:

The wide discrepancy in the treatment between the volunteers and the athletes prompted many angry Singaporeans to criticize the organizers with some calling for a boycott of the YOG.
When contacted by the media, the YOG committee dared not reveal the budget allocated for the volunteers’ food.
“We are aware of the feedback (on the meal) and have taken immediate action. We will work with the caterers to continually improve the meal standards,” the spokesperson was quoted as saying in the Straits Times.
According to some volunteers we spoke to, they have been complaining to the YOG committee about the food for a number of days to no avail. It’s only after the matter was blown up in cyberspace did the organizers bother to take any action.
As usual, there were no immediate comments on the embarrassing saga from PAP Minister Dr Vivian Balakrishnan or his sidekick Teo Ser Luck who continue to immerse themselves in their own deluded world of very “real” and “infectious” YOG “bliss, pomp and glory”, no thanks to the massive “astroturfing” efforts by MOE, grassroots organizations and the state media.

We just have to get used to the idea that FT's must come first -like someone said,for the place to be vibrant .

I have posted this many many times but I guess its worth repeating-you have to queue up behind the FT's. After the PRC's, Indians(from India),Filipinos and Burmese ,than its your turn.

Just accept your fate and work as a dishwasher,table cleaner, sweeper ect2
after the above FT's take over your jobs -otherwise how to pay off your 30 years loan on your 3 room HDB palaces.

And if you die before 65 because of long waiting time in hospitals,months before referral to a specialist,shortage of hospital beds,or simply no money to see the doctor, you can kiss your minimum sum goodbye.

By the way how many hospitals or polyclinics can you get for $390 million -think about it when waiting for hours to see the govt doctor.
