SINGAPORE - Three people - including a six-year-old boy - were taken to hospital after a collision involving a car and a cab at a taxi stand in Serangoon Central on Feb 10.
The accident took place at about 7.50am, police said, adding that the two other people were a 48-year-old woman and the boy’s 42-year-old mother.
The taxi driver, 59, sustained minor injuries, and refused to be taken to hospital, police said.
A video of the incident, uploaded on social media, shows the cab pulling up at a taxi stand. Captions indicate that the incident took place outside Nex shopping mall.
A woman, accompanied by a young boy, is seen opening the door of the cab before a white car suddenly rams into them, sending them sprawling on the ground. The white car also appears to have hit a woman standing next to the taxi stand sign post, as well as the rear of the cab.
The first woman is later seen getting up and checking on the boy. Moments later, the taxi driver emerges from the vehicle and walks towards the white car.
A 34-year-old woman, who was driving the car, is assisting with investigations, police said.
SCDF added that the three injured were taken to Sengkang General Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
