3 females arrested for attempting to steal a bicycle

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested three female suspects for attempting to steal a bicycle. The arrest was made with the assistance of an alert resident.
On Dec 11 at about 3.45am, the 17-year-old resident reported to the Police that a group of people were loitering and behaving suspiciously in the vicinity of Pandan Gardens.
Within minutes, police officers arrived at the scene and managed to detain three suspects outside a HDB unit. The suspects were placed under arrest following an interview.
A cutter was recovered at the void deck of the same HDB block and seized.
Investigations are ongoing against the three suspects.
If convicted for the offence of Attempted Theft with Common Intention under Section 379 read with Section 511 and Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, they can be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, with fine, or both.
