Three men have been fined for corruption after they received bribes from a supplier for their company between 2006 and 2010.
The three men were engineers at an electronic company, Showa Denko HD Singapore, and were in charge of recommending their preferred vendors to the purchasing department in the company.
They were fined on Friday between $8,000 and $30,000 each. They have also been ordered by the court to pay penalties amounting to the total they received in bribes.
Kang Peh Nam, 41, who was a senior maintenance engineer at the time, first started accepting bribes in 2006 from an operator of Dynamic Materials Engineering.
He had met the operator, Mr H'ng Kim Sia, sometime in the 1990s when they were colleagues in another company.
