24 Hour Places

I would think that those places like fast food places or prata shops would have some customers on weekends or the night before public holidays.
But other than those near clubs, cinemas, ktvs, in orchard roads or in really busy areas, can those places which are open 24 hours really turn a profit, after considering their additional labour and utilities costs?
Does anyone have any insights or experiences to share regarding these 24 places, including even 7 eleven?
