Some people used HDB flats and shops as brothels, and some massage parlours were used as prostitution dens. The police launched a joint anti-prostitution operation, arresting 201 women and 27 men aged 18 to 58. Condoms and lubricants were also seized at the scene.
The police issued a statement on Thursday (November 7) stating that enforcement officers from the Criminal Investigation Department, seven major police stations, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority and the Ministry of Manpower launched raids across the island from September 1 to October 31. These places include commercial places, massage parlors, beauty salons, hotels, residential units, etc.
During the operation, police arrested 27 men and 201 women aged between 18 and 58 who were suspected of being involved in prostitution activities.
Some of the women were only wearing pajamas, and some were also disheveled. They were being questioned by the police, and condoms and lubricants were also found at the scene.

Two men and a woman have been charged in court for allegedly operating a prostitution venue in violation of the Women's Charter. Investigations into other suspects are continuing.
