SINGAPORE — From Monday (May 25), a list of public places that cases in the community have visited for more than 30 minutes will be released by the Ministry of Health (MOH), with Jurong Point being the first location cited.
In a statement on Monday, MOH said the following locations were visited by cases in the community:
The NTUC Fairprice outlet at Jurong Point from 4.30pm to 6.00pm on May 20
Shokutsu Ten Japanese Food Street at Jurong Point from 5.30pm to 6.30pm on May 21
The ministry did not indicate which confirmed cases had visited these locations but said it will update the list as epidemiological investigations progress.
“Those who had been identified as close contacts of confirmed cases would already have been notified by MOH,” it added.
The ministry said that as a precautionary measure, members of the public who had been at the listed locations during the specified times should monitor their health closely for 14 days from their date of visit.
They should then see a doctor promptly if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection.
This includes having a cough, sore throat or runny nose, as well as fever and the loss of taste and smell.
When visiting the clinic, they should also inform the doctor of their exposure history, said MOH.
