SINGAPORE - The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) rescued two men trapped in a gondola at 80 Raffles Place.
At 5.10pm, a member of public reported that a gondola was stuck and upon inspection, the Civil Defence personnel found two men inside.
The SCDF rescuers sprang into action and secured the two subjects with safety lines. Then, they extended a ladder from a window on the eight floor into the gondola.
After ensuring the ladder was secured at both ends; the civil defence personnel entered the gondola and guided the two men into safety.
The subjects were assessed by medical personnel and did not need medical attention.
The rescue operation was completed within 40 minutes.
