2 arrested for stealing from temple donation box

SINGAPORE: Two suspects have been arrested for breaking into a temple and stealing cash from its donation box.
The men, aged 18 and 28 years, were caught on Monday.
Police suspect they had stolen money from a donation box at the temple in Lorong 9 in Geylang.
A staff member of the temple informed the police of the crime on 13 February.
CCTV footage showed a suspect meddling with the donation box while the other man was seen keeping a lookout outside.
About S$1,900 was seized from them.
The suspects will be charged in court on Wednesday with housebreaking and theft.
