HARIAN Metro reported that the pharmaceutical division of the Health Ministry has seized 2,000 bottles of an “energy drink” that can supposedly boost one’s sexual prowess.
The drinks contained two types of dangerous chemicals and were distributed by a cosmetics company.
A team of 30 enforcement officers seized the bottles, said to be worth RM100,000, during a raid on five shops on Tuesday in Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur.
A spokesman from the division said the distributor of the drink, which costs RM50 per bottle, had claimed that it contained 100% herbs.
“However, tests done by the Chemistry Department found that it contained synthetic chemicals which are far more dangerous than those found in viagra,” the spokesman said.
