The station is situated near a TV center and Babi Yar, a memorial complex built at the site of a series of massacres carried out by the Nazis during their campaign against the Soviet Union.
An entrance to the station.
Its two-level vestibule.
Tiket offices are situated on the lower level.
There are also a few stores here.
Here they sell newspapers.
The upper and the lower levels are connected by four escalators and two staircases.
Token and contactless card machines.
Turnstiles.
The station is located 76 m underground.
The platform has a length of 104 m.
The station contains a rich combination of decorative materials. Green marble is used for the sides of the passageways, and the lower part of the pylons. White marble is used for the station walls and indents along the portal edges. The ceilings are made from aluminium planes that run perpendicular to the platform length.
“Dorogozhychi”.
A train is pulling in.
The station is the last but one so there are not very many people here.
The train is leaving the station.
Many people disapproved of the design of the new signs installed at the station for Euro 2012.
We are at the station’s training room.
These old turnstile are used for training.
This device is to reload the contactless cards.
In this room they hold English classes for the personnel to prepare for Euro 2012.
This is a machinery hall.
These huge engines make the escalators move.
A standby engine.
Escalator control desks.
Safety tools.
It’s very noisy in here.
The escalator’s speed is 0.9 mps.
