A 17-year-old student was placed on probation of 18 months for slamming his shoulder into a teacher, reported The Straits Times.
He was also ordered to do 130 hours of community service and will have to stay home between 10pm and 6am daily.
The incident occurred two years ago at Pei Cai Secondary School in Serangoon Avenue 4.
He pleaded guilty on June 12 for using criminal force on Ms Merlinda Laura Theseira. His lawyer, Rajan Suparamanian told The Straits Times
that the student has already apologised to the teacher and that they have an amicable relationship.
The student also admitted to using a counterfeit $10,000 note to procure three Apple iPhones in May 2011.
Other charges that were taken into consideration include, throwing two metal poles from the school's second story in Oct 2010, and
trespassing on the premises of a condominium in Yio Chu Kang in May 2011.
The parents of the student will forfeit a $5,000 bond if the student misbehaves during his probation.
