SINGAPORE - Sixteen people were arrested in a multi-agency operation conducted in Geylang from Sept 5 to 6.

Fourteen men and two women, aged between 22 and 62, were arrested for gang-related, drug and immigration offences.

The operation led by Bedok Police Division covered various entertainment outlets, hotels and back lanes in Geylang.

The operation was conducted jointly with enforcement officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Central Narcotics Bureau, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and Singapore Customs.

Investigations against all the suspects are on-going.
