They also allegedly demanded sex from the Thai prostitutes there.
Police confirmed that a probe was under way, but said the officers were not members of the Singapore Police Force, as a recent article in the English-language Bangkok Post alleged.
Responding to questions from The Straits Times, the police said the four were from private security agencies, but declined to name the agencies.
Police spokesman Mohd Hamizyam said: 'While the police do not condone any acts of corruption and abuse of power, our investigations have revealed that the allegations made by Bangkok Post against our officers are unsubstantiated.'
The report, 'Candy's special customers: The bribe-taking, sex-hungry policemen', was published in the Thai daily newspaper on Sunday. It was run with another report on the suspected head pimp who ran the forest brothel.
