<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->I WATCHED Monday's Asian Youth Games (AYG) opening ceremony with pride and joy. Although Singapore is a country with limited land space and natural resources, the ceremony proved that it is not going to hinder our efforts to showcase to Asia and beyond our organisational capabilities.
In fact, due to the small land space Singapore has, and thus, the closeness, it will help foster greater and better friendships between athletes and our people. That is truly what the AYG should be about. Well done, Singapore, for that glamorous start to the games.
