13 arrested for white collar crime in islandwide operation

A total of 13 people were arrested for white collar crimes in a 15-hour islandwide operation on Thursday.

A total of 11 men and 2 women aged between 19 and 57 were arrested for criminal breach of trust offences.

Between 8am and 11pm on Oct 20, police officers conducted simultaneous raids in Tampines, Kaki Bukit, Toa Payoh, Hougang, Yishun, Bedok and Sengkang.

Four allegedly used company cash, handphones and laptops for personal purposes, while another five are suspected of misappropriating their employer's sales proceeds, company funds and workers' salaries.
