They had been charged previously under the Sedition Act 1948 for the offence in front of the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah building here at 2.30pm on Aug 28 last year.

Judge Hasbi Hasan also imposed a RM3,000 fine on one of them, Mohd Azmir Mohd Zin, and a week's jail and a RM3,000 fine on another, Eyzva Ezhar Ramly, after they pleaded guilty to bringing and stepping on a cow's head there.

They were charged under Section 4(1)(a) of the Sedition Act 1948.

All of them had protested against the construction of a Hindu temple in their housing estate in Section 23 here.

The judge gave a discharge not amounting to an acquittal to four of the 12 -- Ahmad Suhairy Zakaria, Mohd Hilmi Ni, Ibrahim Sabri and Ahmad Mahayuddin Abdul Manaf -- on the charge of bringing and stepping on a cow's head.

The others involved in the illegal assembly are Jainuddin alias Zainuddin Md Yusuff, Mohd Jurit Ramli, Mohamad Nordin Zakaria, Jamil Mohamad Isa, Rahimuddin Md Harun and Azhari Shaari.
