What is impressive is that she stripped the spring assembly, something that is not required in the SAF. However, i did not see her stripping the bolt assembly down to the firing pin, which the SAF requires. But kids that age are more dexterous anyway.

Very true, the recoil spring assembly is not really necessary in a field strip. But that itself takes a few seconds to undone the latch. Almost the same time for taking out the firing pin assembly and retainer.

NCC use to teach 14 year old to do that under 30s for strip and another 30 for assembly. Given the opportunity in America, yes the 11 yrs is good, give her another 10 years with proper training, she can easily win medals in competition; perhaps even the Olympics.

Compare to Singapore, most sports resources offered to the young are wasted anyway.

while the recoil spring assembly are normall not strip, but it just a couple of seconds to press the the retaining latch and the whole thing will come out. 53s not bad but considering a it a 11yo, must clap for her effort.

Most NSmen train in M16 can better her timing. In fact she violate one rule of TSR during stripping as she didnt ensure the chamber is clear before she start stripping the rifle but maybe US teach differently.

KNN, I like the M16. In fact i forget more about the M16 than i know of the SAR21. SAR21 a piece of shit, more heavy and the magazines cannot fit into the webbing aka SBO. Until now still using the old webbing, dont think can get the new style of webbing beore i MR.

I do realise that the recoil srping assembly is easy to strip, that is not the problem. Putting it back in is the problem. U can get stuck there. Also the other place u can get stuck is in re-assembling the firing pin assembly. As she did not have to do this, it knocked some seconds off her time. The SAF standard is 60 seconds anyway, so not far off the mark.

I have not fired the SAR-21. But i have fired other bullpup designs like the Steyr Aug. I don't like that at all. Something about the feel and trigger pull of the M16 is much superior to anything else out there. The SAR-21 is a piece of shit because the Israeli version the Tavor is not in widespread use in the IDF. U see they are still sticking to their M16s. If the israelis will not switch to something they help design, what does that say about the weapon.

wrong, even without the mag, still need to check the chamber as there a chance a round had already in the chamber. This is very impt, this conception of no mag mean no round in chamber is very dangerous. This checking clear is a habit that need to cultivate as it can prevent an accident from happening in the future.
