There is a one-man-show police station in a rural area of Taiwan, and even that the one solo mata can solve a significant theft case after receiving a report.
When the mata received a report that a suspicious low-loader truck was transporting 2 bulldozers he had his wife (housewife not mata) to look after his police station on behalf. He drove out to pursue that truck.
He also called other police stations for support to prepare to intercept the truck on highway.
He managed to solve the case soon and alone.
The truck was found abandoned with 2 earth movers loaded on it, the thief fled. The truck and these earth movers were all stolen separately from 3 different owners.
When that solo mata called the number written on one of the bulldozers that owner was actually on his way to another police station to report lost.
The police later arrested the thief according to the online news title.

On National Day 2008, when whole SPF of WKS was man-hunting Mas Selamat, both the Head of Investigation & Deputy Head of Investigation (both superintendents) were neither doing security nor crowd management nor looking for MSK, they both together went down to Toa Payoh to catch Dr CSJ & Tak Boleh Tahan! Altogether, 2 superintendents, 2 assistant superintendents, 2 station inspectors, 1 NSF boy, together 7 of them, to harass opposition's National Day out-reach. Can you Tahan them or not?

How did they worked? 2 women to spy (1 superintendent spy from coffee shop, 1 asst superintendent spy from VCD shop), 1 photographer, 1 videographer, 1 NSF to protect the videographer, 1 ASP to do talking to warn SDP, 1 superintendent (Deep Singh) to check that all these men & women did their jobs as ordered.
When asked on the witness stand they all said that Tak Boleh Tahan did on National Day 2008 did not caused any public order problems. Deep Singh also said this TBT is the only TBT that his Tanglin Division has investigated, there are other TBTs he is aware including the May Day 2008 case which is not investigated because it was thrown over to Yaacob's NEA.

你聽過只有一人的派出所嗎？烏日警分局溪尾駐在所，雖只有一位警員溫田青，但維護治安不含糊，大清早接到民眾報案，指稱大拖車上載有兩部挖土機相 當可疑，派出所請太太看守，馬上趕往，並請遠在烏溪對岸的溪南派出所同仁支援，火速攔下要上快速路的大拖車，果然是偷來的挖土機，市價數百萬元，一人派出 所，照樣破案，這是全國唯一的一人派出所。
烏日分局溪尾駐在所員警溫田青平時所長兼工友，於3日清晨5時30分，接獲民眾報案稱：發現可疑拖板車，車上載有2部挖土機，板車駕駛見報案人尾隨其後，無故將拖板車連同車上挖土機橫停於溪岸路上，阻礙車輛通行，司機棄車逃逸。
員 警溫田青獲報迅速趕赴現場，並請溪南派出所派員支援，經聯絡車主確定該板車失竊中，支援警力到達，搜尋附近未發現可疑人，據該拖板車車主表示，車上兩部挖 土機非其所有，警方找到挖土機上所留電話聯絡車主時，車主表示正前往報失竊案途中。警方一舉幫3位民眾找回謀生器具，獲民眾好評，並持續追查竊嫌。
警方呼籲：車輛或重型機械應停放於照明充足或有人看管之處所，並上鎖加強防竊措施，以免竊嫌覬覦，損失財產。
