$1 fine for illegal parking at Hougang Mall? Think again

At first glance, parking illegally here does not seem too bad. But take a closer look at this sign, and you'll see all is not as it seems.
Keen-eyed STOMPer Shaun explains:

"This 'NO PARKING' zone sign was seen below a building beside Hougang Mall.
"Citizens should take note that vandals have torn out the other three 0's, meaning the actual fine amount is $1,000.
"The number stickers were taken off so smoothly that it looked totally authentic. It's easy to believe that the fine was really $1.
We Singaporeans ought to be more vigilant, so we don't get caught out"

In the first place, no parking is allowed, so just dont park. No fine even $1/- also money in this economy situation.
