We were talking about Georgie Boy sending his son to US for leukemia treatment. He is quite knowledgeable in cancer treatment when I related my incident to him.
So, I asked him about Georgie's choice in sending his son to US instead of getting treatment locally. He said that it could be some personal choice or belief. He agrees with me that leukemia treatment in Singapore is equally good and young sufferers died of leukemia is not because the treatment is not effective. Rather, most of the time, the patients could not afford exorbitant medical fees !!!! In the region of $100k for marrow transplant if a match is found.
In his own experience, he tried to help a family whose kid was sufferring from leukemia. That family has another kid in school. Since they could not fork out such amount, he pull some strings and get them in touch with some social dept to render help, in terms of medical subsidies for marrow transplant to this family.
Guess what ? The family did not meet those criteria as the household income is more than $1,000 a month !!! I asked in this incident, what can the family do ?
He said NOTHING !!! Just hope for the BEST !! The kid's mum thanked my friend for his help and she said that he had done too much for her and would not like to bother him too much. She had spent a lot of time and effort to get that subsidy but in the end, the result is ZERO !!! She lamented that money is everything in Singapore and she echoes the same sentiment - WHEN YOU ARE CRITICALLY ILL, IT IS CHEAPER TO DIE THAN TO GET TREATMENT !!
At this juncture, I was wondering. HOW MANY CANCER STRICKEN PATIENTS DIED IN THE HANDS OF PAP !!!! WHILE GEORGE YEO PROUDLY TALKED ABOUT HIS ORDEAL IN BATTLING LEUKEMIA WITH HIS SON !!!
PAP, YOU FUCKING MURDERER !!! KHAW BOON WAN, GO FUCK YOURSELF DEAD !!!! Shaft your $8 heart by pass surgery up your stinky arse!!
