國民黨昨起在全台發動反瘦肉精美豬公投連署，黨主席江啟臣與前總統馬英九共同宣示「捍衛台灣豬、萊豬不要來」，並將矛頭對準蔡英文總統。江表示，蔡總統以一紙行政命令就要在明年元旦開放美豬進口，大家只剩一一○天能放心吃滷肉飯；馬也批，蔡總統開放瘦肉精美豬是不瞭解國際情勢、違背台灣民意。
馬英九說，美國生產的豬肉六成沒有瘦肉精，因為盼能把肉賣到歐盟、大陸與俄羅斯，目前全球一九七國中有一六○國都不用瘦肉精，這是國際情勢；國內有六成民眾反對瘦肉精肉品，這是國內主流民意。
馬英九批評，蔡總統上任以來「一黨專政、一人獨裁」，開放美豬政策事前未與國會、豬農、人民討論，這樣決策怎可能不失敗；他不是只反對含瘦肉精美豬進口，也反對蔡總統決策模式。
