Sometime in March, a certain family went viral when they publicly fought over underwear. While many assumed the issue was at an end when the mother-in-law apologised, it turns out, we were wrong. The family came back, and with more dirty laundry to air.
With all the fighting, it was no surprise when the family publicly decided a divorce was the best thing for them. Again, netizens thought that was the end of the story. However, to their annoyance, they soon discovered that the couple had supposedly been lying to them, which led to many suspecting the drama was staged.

After the fight, the daughter-in-law later claimed she had returned to Johor Bahru to live with her parents and revealed she had given up on the marriage. Her father had publicly backed her decision in a video where he told her husband: “You’re going to get a divorce. Please send a lawyer’s letter. Don’t delay. As I’ve said before, no one can deal with (this) matter (between) the two in-laws.”
But, just yesterday (22nd June), a netizen came forth claiming: “The whole family is acting!” A past video had shown the wife apparently agreeing with her father. “You won’t die if you don’t have a husband. You won’t die if you’re (not married). I won’t go back. It’s impossible (for me) to go back,” she was heard saying in the video.
However, another post apparently told a different story. The wife and husband duo had uploaded separate photos of themselves on their socials posing in front of the LV store in Orchard Road, Singapore. But, the husband’s photo on his Instagram Story was accompanied by the song “我会等 (I will wait)” and caption: “Going with you to see how big the outside world is.”

“What one LV (handbag) can’t solve, (then) two LV (can),” a comment said. Another jokingly pointed out that they must have solved the washing underwear conundrum. “One of them is willing to wash the underwear,” they said, with another suggesting: “(They) bought a washing machine to wash (the) underwear.”
A few added that they hadn’t believed the story in the first place. “It’s all acting, otherwise there would be no (draw),” someone stated. Others opined the duo had “met by accident” at the store. However, some claimed them changing their minds about the divorce was a good thing. “Some people have strange mentalities. When you see someone (having a good life), your heart is (unhappy),” a comment observed.

Well, we can’t say for sure if the husband-wife duo are indeed together again, or if their whole drama was simply staged for the internet’s amusement. Whatever their decision, we wish them well and hope they manage to live out the rest of their lives peacefully.
